The LA Times reported that women with long fingernails don't like the touch screen on the iPod Touch and iPhone (same screen technology). The problem is the iPhone's touch screen responds to the electrical charge emitted by fingertips (as in the skin on one's fingertips). Apparently long-fingernail folks have trouble getting their skin to actually touch the screen.
One user went so far as to describe the iPhone's inability to be used by folks with long fingernails as misogyny (hatred of women). Ha ha.... oh, the poor long-fingernail folks.
As for me, this iPod Touch Gadget Girl has never been able to stand the feeling of long-fingernails. When I touch-type, I want to TOUCH the keyboard, as in feel it under my fingers and so I am more than satisfied with the iPod Touch's screen and how it responds.
